Reflexology is a holistic therapy that treats the person as a whole. Its main purpose is to induce deep relaxation, therefore allowing the body to release build up of stress, pain, toxins, etc.

The theory behind it is that the entire body is mapped out on the feet and hands. This is an ancient theory that was brought up to date and developed in the mid 19 th Century. Through applied pressure to specific points on the feet or hands, the therapist can stimulate the corresponding areas of the body helping the self-healing process.

Consultation

In order to maximise the benefits for each client, a full consultation will be given prior to the initial treatment. A profile of fitness levels, stress levels, diet and medical history will need to be noted. This information gives the therapist a good background of each client, which can then be used to plan treatments to suit individually. All information is kept in accordance with the data protection act and will be stored securely with the strictest of confidentiality.

Reflexology is effective immediately but it is best to receive a minimum of 4 treatments in order to make a real lasting difference.
